Sakura Eri MAEZONO, Ph.D
Sakura MAEZONO obtained her PhD in Human Biology from University of Tsukuba (Japan). Since April 2023, she has held a position as Bioinformatics Assistant Professor at the Advanced Medical Research Center, where she actively engages in clinical and biological research as well as in bioinformatics education.
In her previous industry role, Dr. MAEZONO primarily focused on developing bioinformatics pipelines & machine learning algorithms for early cancer detection, using multiple programming languages (R statistical software, Python, Google apps script etc.). Additionally, Sakura is skilled in Big Data Analytics with extensive experience in analyzing NGS and clinical data. She also likes creating interactive and intelligent web-based data analysis tools tailored to aid biologists and clinicians with their research.
