平成２０年７月、麻酔科学の米国主要雑誌「Anesthesiology」7月号で、手術部　菊地龍明准教授の論文 「Randomized Prospective Study Comparing the Laryngeal Tube Suction　II　with the ProSeal Laryngeal Mask Airway in Anesthetized and ParalyzedPatients.」が、This Month in Anesthesiology に選ばれました。
新型のラリンゲルチューブとラリンジアルマスクとを比較した論文で、合併症についての新たな知見も述べられています。
