Squidulin (SQUD) is identical to vertebrate CAM in 101 of 149
positions; however, its Lys115 is not methylated; Lys115 of CAM is
trimethylated. Further, it has a Pro at the second residue of the 2-3
linker, which is helical in CAM when it is not bound to a target. SQUD
co-purifies with the 235 kDa myosin of squid axoplasm and is inferred
to function as a myosin light chain [13].
