Jordan RAMILOWSKI has a PhD degree in physical chemistry from Utah State University (US) and currently serves as a Bioinformatics Professor at the Advanced Medical Research Center at Yokohama City University (YCU).

Before joining YCU as an Associate Professor in August 2020, Jordan worked as a Bionformatics Researcher at RIKEN Yokohama (2011–2020), where he currently remains a Visiting Scientist. Dr Ramilowski’s research primarily focuses on understanding regulatory roles of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in immune cell differentiation and on ligand-receptor mediated cell–cell communication. Using an array of computational tools such as nf-core pipelines , R statistical software, Python, etc., among others, Jordan employs diverse methodologies to dissect bulk and single-cell Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data including RNA-seq, Hi-C, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq data, and more.

For fun, Jordan likes to play futsal and ski.
