Troponin, nonvertebrate (TPNV)
entry list
alignment
Troponin, nonvertebrate (TPNV) is found in various nonvertebrates;
for example lobster has three isoforms [11]. It is a close homolog of
TNC; however, its mode of function remains unknown and it clusters in a
subfamily distinct from TNC. The interdomain linkers of CAM, TNC, ELC,
and RLC are bent when those proteins are bound to a target. In
contrast, the 2,3 linker of TPNV is predicted to be strongly helical
and hence not to bend.
