The calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CMPK) of Lilium
sp. has 520 residues and consists of a serine/threonine protein
kinase domain, a calmodulin binding region, and four EF- hands. CMPK
is preferentially expressed in anthers [25]. The mechanism and role
of its regulation by calcium is not known.
